The Russian Go Federation and the President of the Go
Federation, Mr. Igor Grishin, are glad to announce the first
World Go Beauty Contest!
We hope that this event will help us to promote Go
worldwide and attract the interest of mass media and
sponsors.
An Asian Pro players' contest was recently organized in
China. Now it’s the Europeans turn to make their move.
We encourage all girls who play Go to take a part in our
tournament, regardless of their nationality, rating or
grade. You only need to send us as many of your cool photos
as you can! The only criterion is that the age can't be
younger than 16 years and we have to be sure that every
participant in the 1st WGBC has already played in at least
one official offline or online tournament.
The first sponsor of our contest is the Go4Go portal. Mr.
Mace Lee will provide a 1-year membership for the “Commented
games section” for the winner and two 6-month memberships
for the 2nd- and 3rd-placed entrants. Please feel free to
contact us to suggest alternative prizes.

You can vote only for three participants. Please assign
them 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. They will receive 3, 2 and 1
points respectively. The girl who scores the most points
will be announced as the winner and will receive the “Miss
Go World 2006” title plus our prizes.
